I was thinking "What could we do besides go to work (or school if you are five) go home, eat dinner, some TV and bed." Well, we have to eat? How could today be not so normal? I have a very difficult time being inside all day, not only watching tv but just being in front of screens and under artificial light. We are human, we were meant to be outside. We were meant to do things, see life and to live a great story.
The idea of having dinner on the beach hit me. Why not? We have to eat and we love to eat, why not do it a little different and somewhere nice? So with the sun in our eyes, the cold wind and seagulls asking for food we had dinner on the beach. Lucy just had to go chase the seagulls. she has her own special deep roar for the seagulls and that can keep her busy off and on for a solid twenty minute. Lucy made me go look for seashells with her.
Yea, thats Ashley looking like a very cold beach bum. After a few laps looking for seashells and sand dollars we were heading back to mom to drop off the shells and don't you know it, a seagull had taken Lucy's happy meal toy. Lucy chased after the bird with all she had, even shifted into fifth gear yet her little legs did not have what it took and the birds were into the water before she could catch them. Ashley and I laughed at how determined this little girl was over a happy meal toy I of course photographed the whole thing. At the foot of the water Lucy screamed with everything she was over the loss of her toy. After taking a few photographs of Lucy in her mini melt down the Seagull dropped her toy. I told Lucy to run into the water and get her toy, and you better believe she did just that.
